Lemon Aid are delighted to announce their involvement in an exciting new venture to build an orphans village on Lagonave, Haiti. A number of organisations have come together to create an umbrella group that will work globally to raise funds and make this project a reality. Currently over 70 orphans are housed in one two storey building with no garden or play area. There is no running water at the house or enough space for each child to have a bed. Lemon Aid has recently purchased almost 4 acres of land with support from Haiti Help and the Message Trust Manchester. A perimter wall is being constructed around this site at present and a web page set up to track progress. Check out www.okipe.org for more information.
A details Okipe Village tab will appear in the next week on the Lemon Aid site with the latest photo updates from Haiti and also information on how you can help us make this project a reality
